

This statement was written to help you out during your
course of study therefore, all students are urged to read and comply with all
of the following policies and regulations.

Integrity &
Code of Ethics
At IMI community we
stress the importance of commitment and adherence to ethics and integrity
codes. We believe that all our colleagues, instructors, and students are
selected to reflect the highest degree of commitment to integrity. The
following section is to highlight our shared values and beliefs.
Violations of
code of Integrity
·
Cheating:
using
unauthorized notes, aids, or information on an examination; altering a graded
work prior to its return to a faculty member; allowing another person to do
one's own work and submitting it for grading where
each assignment submitted for assessment must be the candidate’s original work
and not a photocopy incorporating corrections by the tutor.
·
Plagiarism:
Using other
sources for information without attributing or referring to the main source of
information.
·
Fabrication: Making up and
falsifying data and information without actual basis or source documents.
·
Multiple
Submissions: submitting identical
papers or course work for credit in more than one course without prior
permission of the instructor.
·
Unauthorized
Access: viewing or altering in
any way computer records, modifying computer programs or systems, releasing or
distributing information gathered via unauthorized access.

General
regulations
·
Each student will be provided with a student ID
which will hold a unique student ID number. All communications with the
Programs Division must be conducted with reference to this student ID number,
For example, exams, assignment submission, and all relevant communications.
·
All students must obtain their Student IDs from the
programs division in order to be admitted to IMI premises
· Official announcements are ONLY the ones sent
by authorized staff in the Programs
Division.
· Students
will be provided with a one free copy of the instructor’s handouts at the
beginning of each semester.
·
In case of any changes of contact details, for
example email address, mobile number, telephone numbers, or address, it is the
students’ responsibility to notify the programs division with this change,
otherwise IMI will not be held responsible for failure correspondence or non
delivery of essential information to students. This is crucial in order to
establish constant communication with students which will help to notify them
of any changes in classes or any other important notifications.

The Programs Division is not responsible for
informing students by phone in case of changes of email addresses or full
accounts.
·
Students have the right to access their own
official records. The written consent of the student must be received before personally
identifiable data is released from the
student's records to a third party.
·
Student's inquiries will be accommodated within
two working days.
ý
Academic Load
·
Each student can decide on his/her academic load
i.e. number of modules registered. It also depends on the availability of
modules in each semester. The student
can register for minimum of one course up to three courses maximum per
semester.

Drop&
Withdrawal
Drop:
·
Deadline for dropping any course is by the second
class in each semester. Programs division should be notified officially by
email, fax, or letter
otherwise no refund will be made.
·
No refund will be granted after the second
class.
·
L.E 150.00 will be deducted from the refund to cover
for administrative costs.
·
Penalty of L.E.200.00 will be charged for late
tuition fees payment if fees were paid after the deadline which is 5 days
before the beginning of the
semester.
Withdrawal:
·
Students are allowed to withdraw from any module
before the Fifth class. A withdrawal form must be completed and forwarded to
the Programs Division. Note that No Refund will be made for withdrawals after
the second class.
·
Absence of 50% of the number of sessions in the
course makes the student disqualified for obtaining letter of attendance upon
request.
·
The status of student withdrawal will be flagged
as on-hold till reactivating their status.
·
An official notification by e-mail or fax is
vital for withdrawal from exam entry for May and/or October sessions and it
must be directed to the Programs Division prior to the deadline which is 4
weeks prior to the exam date. In this case, exam fees will be shifted to the
next exam date. Note that Confirmation by phone will not be taken into
consideration
·
In case of withdrawing from exam after the
deadline specified in the semester’s calendar (4 weeks before the exam) a
re-examination fee should be paid in order to set for the new exam date.
·
Students are allowed to withdraw from any
semester with the consideration of not exceeding Two years for the overall
Diploma duration, which is calculated from the first assignment submission or
first exam entry.
·
In case of exceeding the duration of Two years
in any Diploma the student will be automatically dropped from the program, and
hence will not be entitled for the diploma certificate. In this case student
will be flagged as disqualified and is obliged to start the diploma from the
beginning.
ý Assessment and Exams
Assignment Assessment
·
Students are required to produce the assignments
according to the criteria described in the syllabus.
·
Students’ Assignments should be submitted in
both a hard copy format along with a soft copy.
·
Students must obtain instructors signature on
Student Assessment Record (SAR's) before dispatching
it to Cambridge International Examination (CIE).
·
Obtaining the instructor's signature is ONLY a
prerequisite for CIE submission and does not guarantee passing the assignment.
·
All assignments must include a title and where
relevant a table of contents and bibliography. All quotations should be
indicated clearly and acknowledged.
·
All assignments should be clearly marked with
the candidate’s name and unique candidate identified, center number, the module
title and module code.
·
In case students’ obtained Fail in an assignment
or the assignment was rejected by CIE for any reason, are-submission fees
should be paid before any further submission is made.
Exams
·
All students registered in any course will be
automatically registered for the next exam setting
·
In both cases of withdrawing or registering for
an exam entry, the Programs Division must be notified officially by email or
fax. Note that confirmation by phone calls will not be taken into
consideration.
·
Students who have been awarded a Fail in a
module may re-enter for the module at a later point. There is no limit to the
number of times that a candidate can retake a failed module to achieve a Pass
or better as long as the full diploma requirements are completed within 2
years.
·
In case of students wanted to re-sit for the
same module exam again, a re-examination fees should be paid.
Exam
Rules
This Notice has been
written to help you. Read it carefully and do what you are asked.
If there is anything you do not understand.
Especially calculator you may use, ask your teacher.
Regulations
Make Sure you know The
Rules
* A candidate is not
permitted to enter for the same syllabus code at two centers in the same
examination session.
* You must be on time
for all examination. If you are late, your work may not be accepted.
* You may take into the
examination room only the materials and equipment which are allowed.
*
You must not take into the examination room calculator cases/ instruction
leaflets, pencil cases, personal TVs/stereos, pagers, mobile phones, palm-Top
computers, or any other material or equipment any one found in possession on
any of the above article will be automatically disqualified from the subject
being taken.
* You must not take part
in any unfair practice either when preparing coursework, or when taking the
examination.
* You must not talk,
communicate in any with, seek assistance from or give assistance to, or disturb
other candidates once the examination has started.
* Smoking is not allowed
in the examination room.
Information
Make Sure You Attend
* Know the dates and
times of your examination.
* Arrive at least 10 minutes
before the start of each examination.
* If you arrive late for
an examination, report the invigilator running the examination. If you arrive
after the examination has ended, you will not normally be allowed to take it.
* If you miss an
examination without good reason, you will not normally be given a grade in the
subject.
Provide what you need
* Leave outside the
examination room, or with the invigilator, anything that you do not need or
which is not allowed.
* Take into the
examination room the pens, pencils, rulers and any instruments that you need
for the examination.
* You must write in blue
or black ink except multiple choice papers must be completed in pencil (B or
HB).colored pencils or inks may be used only for diagrams, maps, charts etc.
Correcting fluid must Never be used during an examination and highlighter pens or
glue must not be used unless specifically permitted by the syllabus.
* You may not borrow any
thing from another candidate during the examination.
Calculators, dictionaries and
spell-checkers
¨
You may use calculator, unless you are told that
you may not use do so.
If
use a calculator
1.
Make sure it works properly.
2. Make sure
the battery is working properly.
3. Clear
anything stored in it.
4. Do not
bring into the examination room any operating instruction or prepared programs.
¨ You must
not use a dictionary or a computer spell- checker, unless you have been
informed before the examinations that you may do so.
Examination Instructions
·
Listen to the invigilator and do what you are
asked to do.
·
Tell the invigilator at once
1.
If you think you have not been given the right question
paper or all the materials listed on the front of the paper.
2.
if the question paper is complete or bad printed
·
Read carefully the instructions printed on the
question paper and/or on the answer book/ answer paper. Do what they ask you to
do.
·
Fill in the details required on the front of
your question paper and/or answer book/answer paper before the start of the
examination.
·
Do any rough work on the examination stationery
provided. cross it on your disk when you leave
Advice and assistance
·
If on the day of the examination you feel that
your work may be affected by ill health or any other reason, tell the
invigilator.
·
If during the examination you have a problem and
are in doubt about what you should do. Put your hand up to attract attention
.the invigilator will come and assist you
·
You may not ask for, and will not be given, any
explanation of the examination questions.
Leaving the Examination Room
·
For examination longer than one hour, you are
not allowed to leave the examination room until at least one hour after the
published starting time. If you are allowed to leave before the end of the
examination, you will not be allowed to return.
·
If you have used more than one answer book and/
or loose sheets of answer paper, you must place them in the correct order.
Fasten them together before you leave.
·
You must not leave the examination room until
the invigilator tells you to do so.
·
When you leave the examination room you must
leave behind the question paper, your answer book/ answer paper, rough work,
and any other (used or unused) materials provided for the examination.
Warning
If you
cheat, try to unfair practice, or break the rules in any way, you must be
disqualified from all your subjects

Readmission and
Resubmission policy
·
Readmission after one semester of withdrawal: no
change in tuition level, same as prior to withdrawal.
·
Disqualified students are allowed for
readmission for the diploma program will be treated as new students on the
prevailing pricing scheme.
Student responsibility
Regulations will not be
waived nor exceptions granted based on a student's lack of awareness of the
policies and procedures stated above. Although the program's division personnel
assist students, the student is personally responsible for following all
policies and meeting deadlines and requirements. This responsibility includes,
but is not limited to, academic requirements and the rules.
